Satsang(sat = true, sanga = company) describes in Indian philosophy is keeping company of the "highest truth," Also, keeping company with an assembly of persons who listen to, talk about, and assimilate the truth. This typically involves practicing meditation, singing traditional Sanskrit chants, listening to or reading scriptures, reflecting on, discussing the source of these words, and bringing their meaning into one’s daily life.
Our Satsang will be held on the last Saturday of every month. Each will last 90 minutes (7:30-9p.m.). The first 20-30 minutes will be guided meditation and the last hour will be chanting, a talk on some aspect of yogic philosophy and concluded with prasad (a sweet offering). Children are welcome! (Please arrive at 8p.m. if you do not think your child can sit quietly for meditation).
This will be a wonderful evening of sharing, learning and fun, so come try it out.
