Latin roots music to change the world; Passionate, poetic, playful and honest
With Soni Yoga practitioners Rosi Amador and Nando Michelín!

The heart and soul of Sol y Canto's music is this sextet's trademark vocal harmonies, beautiful ballads and churning Latin rhythms. Three-time winners of Boston Music Awards' "Outstanding Latin Act," Sol y Canto features founders Puerto Rican/Argentine singer and yoga practicioner Rosi Amador's crystalline vocals and New Mexican composer Brian Amador's sumptuous Spanish guitar playing and compositions. The Amadors are accompanied by seasoned Latin music veterans and good friends including Uruguayan pianist, friend and yoga practicioner Nando Michelín's virtuoso playing, the supple sounds of Keala Kaumeiwa on contrabass, Tim Mayer's joyful saxophone and flute and Jorge Peruvian percussionist "Coqui" Albela. Together, they perform Brian Amador's original compositions in richly diverse Latin rhythms from Puerto Rico and Cuba to Peru, Argentine and Uruguay, along with fresh arrangements of popular Latin tunes as well as fun, interactive bilingual children's songs from their Parents' Choice Award-Winning CD, "El Doble de Amigos/Twice as Many Friends". In addition, the Amador's twin daughters, who have sung with their parents since age 4, Alisa and Sonia, will make a cameo appearance. Expect to sing along and dance along!  www.solycanto.com
