The Pilates method of muscle conditioning applies the principles of concentration, breathing, centering, control, precision and flowing movement toward the goals of improving core abdominal strength and uniform muscle development. The development of core strength improves nearly every yoga asana, promoting a sense of stability, balance and ease. In turn, practicing yoga asanas increases flexibility, a great compliment to Pilates more core oriented exercises. This class will incorporate the principles of Pilates to build strength and yoga to promote flexibility, creating an essential balance between the two.
Yoga & Pilates is taught by Heather and meets Thursdays at 9:30AM. All levels welcome. |
