Wellness for Body, Mind & Spirit

For the past 20+ years Soni and David have been dedicated to teaching traditional Yoga and Ayurveda as tools to help everyone achieve and hold on to their best selves. With group classes and individual programs tailored to the unique needs of the participants, we have helped thousands of people to feel stronger, healthier and happier.


In 2021, we moved to Savusavu, Fiji where Soni was born and raised, to continue our work. Soni has begun teaching classes at the Planters Club, and more is coming so stay tuned.

Ayurveda for Life!

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian science of health, based on two primary ideas - 1.) You are what you eat, and 2.) It is better to get and stay healthy than to have to heal sickness.


Ayurveda starts by understanding your unique constitution, identifying where you may be out of balance, and then building a program to bring you and and keep you in balance. It's not magic, it's science.

Meet Soni and David

 Soni, born in Labasa, began learning yoga before she could walk. Stories from Ramayan and  Bhagavad Gita were read and performed in Nataraja and Kathak dance by her grandfather. Regular meditation, kirtans, bhajan, and asanas were all part of normal life in the community where she lived with her extended family. Ayurvedic principles gui

 

 Soni, born in Labasa, began learning yoga before she could walk. Stories from Ramayan and  Bhagavad Gita were read and performed in Nataraja and Kathak dance by her grandfather. Regular meditation, kirtans, bhajan, and asanas were all part of normal life in the community where she lived with her extended family. Ayurvedic principles guided the diet and healing practices by which they lived. She still follows Ayurveda and Vastu living, living simply in harmony with nature, and she strives to reflect all these things in SoniYoga.


Soni has taught more than 7,000 classes in the United States, at the world-renowned Parmarth Niketan Ashram in India, and in Australia. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT200, the International Association of Yoga Therapy and is a certified Ayurveda Wellness Counselor.

David

David

David

 

David is a traveler who has visited over 60 countries and lived in Hong Kong, Nepal, Indonesia, Fiji and lots of other places. It was while he was a Peace Corps volunteer in Fiji many years ago, that he met and married Soni. In his "traditional" carreer he he was a CIO/CTO in multiple companies for over 25 years.

He came to yoga in 200

It was while he was a Peace Corps volunteer in Fiji many years ago, that he met and married Soni. In his "traditional" carreer he he was a CIO/CTO in multiple companies for over 25 years.

He came to yoga in 2000 and Yoga has grown to become the dominant theme in his life. Always a teacher, he now works to teach people to live well and to achieve their dreams. His classes and counsel will challenge you, and invite you to explore yourself and your dreams.

David has taught more than 5,000 classes around the world and is also registered with the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT200.
